We partnered with the founder early on to define the heart and soul of this brand and bring it to life in the best possible way. A strong strategic foundation defined the give-back model as well as the materials and ingredients and therefore creates the perfect launchpad for it to make its debut in the market. Allowing the brand to create a strong, purposeful community on social channels and in person, at local beach clean-ups in Hawaii and beyond.

After setting a strong foundation for Project Reef with our strategy and brand identity work, we collaborated on the packaging and brought the final product to life with product photography in our studio.

After extensive research in packaging materials, we decided on going with larger, refillable bottles at resorts and recycled ocean waste plastic for the direct-to-consumer tubes. Partnering with Coral to foster local reefs and committing to removing 1 lb of plastic for every purchase from our oceans.

To us, impact like this feels so much more exciting than awards we could win as a creative studio.

When it comes to our design process, we love to take time to fully immerse ourselves in each project, soaking up inspiration from many different sources, books and nature, before we start imagining what our brand universe can look and feel like.

And we belief in our craft and like to sketch everything by hand before moving it into the computer. We have a deeply rooted love for materials as well as hand lettering and illustration and believe that our attention to detail sets us apart in this fast paced market.

 
 
 
 

We start every project with a deep discovery, to learn as much as we possibly can from the founders. We see them as our partners in a project and truly value collaboration and a sense of trust and respect for one another. This is followed by research, to truly understand what is going on in this particular market, the cultural moment in time, and our audience’s lives. We believe that a strong strategic foundation based on research is the only way to build a brand that can connect on an emotional level and withstand trends.
