Declaration of Interdependence.

We did it. We are super proud to announce that Fernweh is now a certified B-Corportation. That means we are part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. Businesses that are leading a global movement for an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy.
Really, that means, we don’t just talk about love, care, and sustainability here, we put our money (and our energy) where our mouth is.
And without sounding like one of those people who never celebrate their wins because it could always be better – it also means, we are not done. Instead, we keep striving to be and do better. We are thrilled to be a part of this fantastic community and learn how to run a better business and help our clients to do the same. That being said, I promise we will still have fun.

To give you a better idea of what we stand for as a certified B-Corp and what this means to us, here is a part of the Declaration of Interdependence we signed when we got our certification:

We envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good. This economy is comprised of a new type of corporation – the B Corporation – which is purpose-driven and creates benefit for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.

As Certified B Corporations and leaders of this emerging economy, we believe:

That we must be the change we seek in the world.

  • That all business ought to be conducted as if people and place mattered.

  • That, through their products, practices, and profits, businesses should aspire to do no harm and benefit all.

  • To do so requires that we act with the understanding that we are each dependent upon another and thus responsible for each other and future generations.

So fun, right?

I hope this will inspire you to think about your brand, company, or simply your personal actions in a different way.

Hit us up if you want to know more about the process of becoming a certified B-Corp, or if you feel ready to get clear on your brand’s values. Or just make some cool stuff.

Much Love,

Lisa & Tim
